Our story
Hawk Construction was founded to do something specific: build custom homes in the McCall area with the craftsmanship, attention, and follow-through that the landscape deserves. More than twenty-five years later, we still do that. We've also grown to take care of the homes long after the last inspection.
What started as a single-focus custom home builder has become a Valley County-based company with a bench of full-time project managers, a property services team on the road year-round, and working relationships with the architects, engineers, and subcontractors who make serious mountain building possible. The scope has grown. The standards have not.
What we do
- Custom home construction. Design-build collaboration from site feasibility through final walkthrough, across the McCall-area communities our clients ask for.
- Remodels and additions. Whole-home rework, kitchens and primary baths, additions, and exterior envelopes, brought to the same standard as a new build.
- Property services. Year-round caretaking, weekly inspections, winter readiness, storm response, and the quiet ongoing work that keeps a home the way it was handed over.
What makes us different
- The same team, start to finish. The person who walks your lot with you is the same person who hands you the keys, and is still reachable years after the warranty period ends.
- Local knowledge that actually matters. Snow loads, shoreline setbacks, Valley County permit rhythms, and the subcontractor bench that makes schedules real. We've earned it by being here.
- Year-round presence. Because we run a property services business alongside construction, we stay with your home through every season. Most builders disappear at handoff. We don't.
Where we work
Most of our construction work is within an hour of our McCall office. We build regularly at Whitetail Club, Tamarack Resort, Jug Mountain Ranch, Spring Mountain Ranch, BlackHawk on the River, MeadowCreek, River Ranch, and along Payette Lake, and our property services teams operate throughout the region year-round. We also build in the Treasure Valley around Eagle and Star for clients who want the same crew on a primary residence closer to Boise.
